The location is great, but it is a bit hard to find immediately from the hectic entrance on Montecito. Just be prepared for its immediate appearance! The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful and the room was so nice, clean and comfortable. There is a definite feeling of being in a treehouse. A big plus was the trail just a block away up to the SBCC Campus and gardens overlooking the harbor. Such an awesome little hike for me and my dog! Frankly, this was a big surprise and a treat to be able to get to the beach without driving or really negotiating any major streets beyond Montecito. Pershing Park is just right there as well- so plenty of space to exercise my dog.

We stayed for 3 nights in mid September 2023. The hotel was exactly as pictured when we booked. Light and airy and spotlessly clean. When we arrived we weren't sure about the location, as it's close to the 101 Freeway, but it turned out to be great as you can walk to most of the attractions in Santa Barbara. The staff were excellent. Really good communications about breakfast (which was excellent), housekeeping, night cover phone numbers and even a free glass of wine at happy hour. We stayed in room 9 and enjoyed the little balcony (big enough for 2) where we sat and watched the sun go down behind the mountains.

The breakfast was outstanding. We would love to have the recipe! We were very pleased to find an affordable place to stay at the last minute. We were caught in Santa Barbara during the heavy rains when the 101 was closed in both directions. The big hotel chains were jacking up their prices and taking advantage of the many people that where stuck with no way to return to their homes.

The staff were all very friendly and nice. I Liked having breakfast made for us each morning. My family stayed here as a get together for the holidays and the lobby was decorated beautifully for Christmas with a fireplace and Christmas music. It was perfect for us!

Small and quaint. Good location but felt secluded and quiet. Each room felt very private location wise and was very charming inside. The lady who checked me in was great as well and very nice!
